Cheryl recorded Beautiful Bearded Lady at Chiswick Reach Recording Studio, London owned by her dear friend Nigel Woodward way back in the early 90's. Nigel & Cheryl had been in a band together when she was 19 and when he bought the studio she travelled down from Wales to record what she called 'her little songs'. The pair are still friends now.

Beautiful Bearded Lady catapulted Cheryl into her first record deal negotiations with the title track being used for television, giving her the safety net she needed to quit the day job and become a full time touring singer/songwriter. A decision she never looked back on.
