'My Friends in America' was written after after 4 days of intently watching the American Election in 2020 - I really felt that if America voted for change, then that would be a turning point for the rest of the world - where healing the soul became more important than the economy - this deeply resonated with me, as we had just been in our 3rd lockdown - the first being UK wide, the 2nd being just our town and the 3rd being Wales wide -

A note about the lyrics & the reference to the lotus flower - Kamala, the name of Vice President Harris (elect, at time of writing) is the Sanskrit word for lotus.
